DC YC is an initiative offering students the opportunity to get their projects funded. With support from the CS Department, students pitch their ideas to receive funding and support from Dubai College - turning classroom concepts into real, impactful projects.
Named after the spirit of Y Combinator, DC YC brings the startup accelerator model to a school setting. Students don't just build projects - they learn to pitch, plan, and deliver with real stakes and real support behind them.

No deadline pressure - submit your proposal when your idea is ready, any time during Term 3.
How It Works
Rolling applications begin at the start of Term 3. Students submit a project proposal outlining their idea, technical approach, and potential impact. Selected projects receive funding, mentorship, and resources from the school to bring their vision to life.
Whether you're building an app, a hardware prototype, or a data-driven tool, DC YC is designed to support ambitious ideas at every stage - from concept to deployment.
