Overview
The Applied CS x MUGA League partnership brings together the CS Society and one of Dubai College's most popular sporting events. Students are building exclusive web tools to engage the school community in the basketball league - from live standings to match stats and interactive features.
This project demonstrates how computer science extends beyond the screen. By applying technical skills to a live sporting event, students see the direct impact of their work on the wider school community.
Live Web Tools
Real-time standings, match stats, and interactive features built for the school community.
Media Production
Videographers and photographers capturing content and promoting the league on DC social media.
CS Meets Sport
A unique cross-departmental initiative proving CS has a role in every part of school life.
What We're Building
The CS Society is providing both the technical and creative support for the league. This includes building web-based tools for engagement, as well as providing videographers and photographers to film content and promote the league on DC social media.
The web tools give students a reason to follow the league beyond the court - tracking their team's performance, viewing highlights, and engaging with the competitive side of the event in a way that hasn't been done at DC before.
